Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff's overall approval rating has fallen to 54.2 percent from 56.6 percent in July 2012, an opinion poll showed Tuesday.

According to the poll released by consulting firm MDA, 35.6 percent of Brazilians rated Rousseff's administration as "regular," while 9 percent expressed a negative opinion of her government.
The president's personal support rate also dipped to 73.7 percent down from 75.7 percent in July 2012.
Meanwhile, the president's disapproval rate rose from 17.3 to 20.4 percent in the same period.
The poll, carried out on June 1-5, surveyed 2,010 people from 134 towns throughout Brazil and has a margin of error of 2.2 points.
